Our Social Impact Journey

WeHear’s mission goes beyond innovative products. We’re passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people with hearing loss.

Our journey started with the Indian Red Cross Society in Ahmedabad, where we provided 107 initial devices. This successful pilot program fueled our fire. Next, we partnered with Samagra Shiksha Abhyan, and carried assessment of 4260 devices across Gujarat. The incredible 94% success rate solidified our technology’s life-changing potential.

Driven by these results, we expanded our reach with trials in Telangana, Bangalore, and beyond. We believe collaboration is key, so WeHear actively partners with leading CSR partners like Godrej, ONGC, Prudent and Juniper Green Energy. Thanks to these partnerships, WeHear has proudly donated over 1,254 devices, empowering people to hear the world around them. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all our impact partners for their invaluable support.

our USP

Engagement with Government Authorities: This initial phase involves seeking approval from the Department of Education. Subsequently, close coordination with Talukas and Block Resource Centers (BRCs) is established to meticulously plan and execute test camps for students on a taluka-wise basis.

Execution of Test Camps: In accordance with the Department of Education’s pre-determined schedule, test camps are conducted at BRCs across each taluka. The endeavor is bolstered by the invaluable support of district-level education officers. The WeHear team spearheads the testing process, accurately identifying eligible beneficiaries.

Distribution of Devices: The pivotal and culminating stage of the project involves the distribution of devices. This milestone is achieved through the concerted efforts of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wings of corporations, NGOs, and other affiliated organizations.

Ongoing Support and Monitoring: Our commitment extends beyond the distribution of devices. We conduct meticulous follow-up sessions to assess the progress and benefits experienced by the beneficiaries. To measure improvement, the WeHear team has devised a comprehensive module that evaluates both hearing and speaking proficiency levels. Follow-ups are done with the support of IERP coordinators (Individual Education and Rehabilitation Professionals) and special educators from each Mandal/Taluk. These follow-up sessions are diligently recorded through a built-in system called the Social Impact Management System (SIMS) through which we can track the progress of each beneficiary and videos of their progress can also be viewed.

Why Social Impact Management System (SIMS)?

Traditional impact initiatives often face roadblocks: consistency, visibility, and getting resources to those who need them most. High administrative costs can eat away at donations, leaving less for the people it matters to. That’s why WeHear developed the innovative Social Impact Management System (SIMS).

Through SIMS, donors get complete transparency – you see exactly how your contribution is making a difference. We eliminate administrative fees, ensuring every penny goes directly towards life-changing hearing devices. With WeHear SIMS, you can donate with confidence, knowing your investment directly impacts the lives of people with hearing loss.
